Medical Eye Exam

Comprehensive eye exam to check for effects of diabetes in the eye and in the retina.
During this appointment the doctor will dilate your pupils and thoroughly check the structure inside the eye to rule out any effects of diabetes in the eye/retina. Includes retinal imaging or digital retinal photography (if ordered by the doctor) Please be informed that this is NOT a regular routine eye exam and MUST be billed to medical insurance.

Medical Eye Exam

A thorough eye evaluation to check for conditions like cataract, glaucoma, diabetes hypertensive retinopathy, conjunctivitis (pink-eye),
dry eyes, retinal detachment, retinopathy caused by Plaquenil etc. (This exam is normally covered by your health insurance) Exam includes dilation and other specialized testing and retinal imaging. (Please be aware that medical eye exams are different than routine vision exam for glasses or contacts) The doctor will not check your eye glasses prescription during this and a separate visit will be required for glasses prescription check.
